Here are a couple of videos from today. We were able to give 4 families tents today – getting them out of tarp structures and into a more permanent strong water proof tent. We also gave them each water filters, hygiene kits, stoves, shoes, water, and some baby food to those needing it.

We pray for the family receiving the tent; Praying blessings on the home, family, health, protection, financial blessings, and for spiritual blessings and love!! Such a great day for so many Haitian families today! Praise God for what He’s doing in Haiti through His people.

Thanks for being apart of what God is doing in Haiti!!

Dear friends & family,

Today I had the great opportunity to travel around to different sites in Haiti with Pastor Rosenell. He’s the associate pastor of Pastor Guy Thomas – the Foursquare Pastor I am working with here. We are in the process of helping Foursquare families affected by the earthquake to get into the best temporary shelter situation we can while the rebuilding process continues. We visited four tent camp sites, some with around 50 families living together. One had several thousand families in it – each one with a different story of how they were affected by the earthquake, and what happened to their home. We visited one block of homes in the region just outside Pationville, (Click on the map for a picture of the site and zoom in to see close) Rachael home site. I couldn’t believe that I was driving on the road into one of the most devastated parts of Haiti. The hillside really just came crashing down, and houses crumbled and fell into others. After climbing over 8-10 homes, we were finally able to reach sister Rachael’s home. We are providing her with a temporary shelter for herself and the 8 others in her home.

After leaving her home with Pastor Rosenell were in the car and he said to me, “Chad… your a cool guy.” I waited a second and asked him what he meant by that. He said, “You don’t get excited, or irritated like others, brother.” We had worked for about 3 hours to find these homes. We had gone down countless dead-end roads, or roads overloaded with rubble and worked through major language barriers. When he pointed out my ability to be calm through all of this I immediately looked back at the day and looked for a time when I may have sounded short-tempered. I realized that the peace of the Lord was on both of us, and through that we were able to do a lot of impacting work. Without that peace the Lord gave me, I would have missed out on the opportunity to reach 4 different families with the compassionate hand of Jesus. Through that we were able to provide 4 tents, open the door for water filtration, food, continued ministry, and were able to share the Gospel with 6 other neighbors just sitting outside near us.

In a country filled with chaos, people lost and confused and in the greatest human need, the peace of God filled many people’s needs today. Many heard the news of Hope, and of a Savior who cares about them. And they were touched by the peace He gives in a real and tangible way.

Thanks for being a part of what God is doing in Haiti!!!
Blessings,

Chad Isenhart

UPDATE: As of now we have received 10 high-quality tents for families for shelter, getting ready to receive a container with 250,000 meals in it. Water projects, and the wall of the church is moving along.
